Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Upvising Limited (Upvising, we or us) is a technology company in Hong Kong. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal data when you use upvising.io or contact us, in line with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486).

2. What we collect

• Enquiries and quote requests: your name, company, email address, WhatsApp number (optional), website address, the plan you’re interested in, the number of users (for Google Workspace) and anything you write in your message.
• Job applications: your name, email address, WhatsApp number (optional), a link to a Google Drive folder with your CV and portfolio, and anything else you write.
• Labs waitlists: your email address and the product you signed up for.
• Visits to the site: Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views without cookies or personal identifiers. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics also records how you use the site, including an online identifier, device and browser details and your approximate location.
• Security: Cloudflare processes your IP address and browser details to protect the site from attacks and spam, including the Turnstile check on our forms.

3. How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and provide the services you ask for.
• To consider a job application and tell you when a role opens.
• To tell you when a Labs product you signed up for opens.
• To understand which pages are useful and improve the site.
• To keep the site and our forms secure and stop spam.
• To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We won’t use your personal data for direct marketing unless you have agreed to it, and you can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us.

4. Who we share it with

We don’t sell or rent personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it for us:

• Cloudflare: hosting, security, spam checks and cookie-free analytics.
• Resend: delivering the emails our forms send.
• Google: our company email (Google Workspace), Google Analytics if you accept analytics cookies, and Google Workspace accounts we set up for clients.
• Our hosting infrastructure provider: for websites we host for clients.

We may also disclose personal data where the law requires it.

5. Transfers outside Hong Kong

These providers may store or process data outside Hong Kong, including in the United States. We use providers that protect data with strong security measures.

6. How long we keep it

• Enquiries and quote requests from people who don’t become clients: 24 months, then deleted.
• Client records: while we provide services, then as long as accounting and legal rules require.
• Job applications: until you ask us to delete them.
• Labs waitlists: until the product opens, or until you leave the list.
• Google Analytics data: 14 months.

7. How we protect it

Every page and form uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Only our team can access enquiries and job applications, and our accounts use two-step verification. No system is completely secure, so please tell us if you think your data is at risk.

8. Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you and to correct it. Email info@upvising.io and we’ll respond within 40 days, as the Ordinance requires. We may charge a fee that isn’t excessive for a data access request, as the law allows. You can also ask us to delete your data or stop using it.

Our Cookie Policy explains what we store on your device and how to change your choice.

10. Links to other websites

Our site links to other websites, including affiliate links on the Tools We Use pages. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave upvising.io.

11. Changes to this policy

We’ll update the date at the top when this policy changes, and note significant changes on this page.
